Maria Kwiatkowsky

Actually, I had planned to paint another painting of the fashion week today. But then I got very sad news, and changed my plan. The actress Maria Kwiatkowsky has died. You may remember that about two months ago I had the privilege to paint a portrait of her for Lola Randls new film. I always had hoped that Maria would find the time again to sit for me for another painting... but that sadly is not possible anymore. Goodbye, Maria.

Eigentlich wollte ich heute ein weiteres Bild von der Fashion Week malen. Aber dann bekam ich leider sehr traurige Nachrichten und änderte meinen Plan. Die Schauspielerin Maria Kwiatkowsky ist tot. Vielleicht erinnern Sie sich, vor zwei Monaten hatte ich die Ehre ein Portrait von ihr für Lola Randls neuen Film zu malen. Ich hatte seitdem gehofft, daß Maria mir später einmal für weitere Arbeiten wieder Modell stehen würde ... aber das ist nun leider nicht mehr möglich. Auf Wiedersehen, Maria.

    I'm so sorry. I love your paintings of her, and I know how close you can feel to people you've painted. She was only 26 right? This is a beautiful portrait today. So incredibly sorry to hear this.
